Roof Outdoor Pools, a Cool Architecture Ideas
Global Architectural Development have recently come up with an architecture design that left us speechless. Located in Bodrum, Turkey, an important tourist attraction during the summer season, this amazing home comes with two original surprises. Most residences stick to a common roof built out of tiles, shingles and so on. Not this particular home, though. Instead of a regular house covering architecture plan, the team over at GAD decided that they should cover the house with pools that collect rain water. This unusual residence has three distinct buildings that are connected through a glass atrium. The exterior is unique in shape and style. The rooms are all light and airy and the roof water keeps the house cool during the summer.
Luxury Sofas and Living Rooms Decor With A Vintage Touch From Pottery Barn
Pottery Barn is a design company founded in 1949 in Manhattan and planned on their work reflecting the idea that” home furnishings should be exceptional in comfort, style and quality.” We don not know much about their comfort and quality, but one thing we can say for sure: their furniture looks absolutely amazing! Perhaps it is the vintage touch or the original letters and numbers embedded in the decorations. Or the colors that are not too flashy, nor neutral. And what do you think about the overall arrangements? The flower arrangements really seem to fit in and light up the rooms. Whichever it is, we invite you to take a closer look and pick out those elements that you like the most. In other words, we hope you will find plenty of inspiration in the pictures below.
Luxury Khyber Ridge Residence Design by Studio NminusOne
NminusOne may not be the most innovative name for a design office, but the creativity of the architects definitely got us sold. Commissioned for Marc Morisset— a professional snowboarder, the five storey house is built like a shredder following the line of a steep mountain. Perfectly blending with the green environment, the Khyber Ridge Residence adds a tinge of “floating” and a bunch of unconventional details that get the eye. And although it looks old and worn, the interior is all about contemporary shapes and elegant furnishings, for more warmth (maybe during winter?). That’s nothing short of cool.
Fascinating Greek Home in New York, a Living Art Museum Dsign
How do you like quality design mixtures? These fascinating interiors belong to an 1840’s Greek Home located in New York’s Greenwich Village, USA. The company in charge with the rehabilitation was Axis Mundi, a creative design firm whose portfolio we enjoyed checking out. The challenge was to redesign the place while still preserving its historical style. Another important aspect was the fact that Axis Mundi had to come up with a suitable decor to house the owner’s impressive art collection. Famous paintings belonging to Warhol, Haring and Basquiat were given a proper exhibition environment. The place also features surreal furniture elements from famous artists such as Salvador Dali and Antonio Gaudi. Did we manage to get your attention?
Luxury Elegant Bedroom Collections From Gautier
Gautier is a design company founded in 1958. We found some really nice bedroom arrangements on their site which we hope will give you fresh decorating ideas. Most of them are simple, sober and elegant, with wooden furniture and stylish carpets to go with it. The color mix goes from mild to fresh, but the overall effect is always pleasing. You will rarely see strong colors – the green and red pillows are an exception, but with a lovely effect. Flowers and paintings make the interiors lively and also help personalizing every room. Small details and decorative items such as bottles and tea cups really manage to make a difference. We also like the floor lamps and the night stands. Enjoy!

Modern Italian Kitchen Designs: Style and Originality
We had a recent post here on Freshome about Scandinavian kitchen designs. They were all about color and let out a peaceful feel. Today we would like to show you a few Italian kitchen interiors from Ernestomeda. In comparison, these designs look more sober, but that does not make them any less captivating. The color and freshness of the kitchens in our previous post is replaced here by elegance. The main colors are black, gray, white and brown which are pleasantly combined in creating modern designs. Plants and other decorative elements manage are nicely integrated in the decors. Please check them out and let us know what you think. Do you prefer colorful kitchen designs over more “serious” interiors such as the ones below ?

Modern Glass House Frames Luxurious Features by Hillery Priest Architecture
Remuera, a quiet suburb of Auckland, New Zealand, is the home of this contemporary, glass house – a modern beacon among its natural surroundings. This sleek design by Hillery Priest Architecture features expansive windows outlined by bold frames that punctuate their contemporary, geometric shape. The window walls seem to float beneath a vast angled roof, and held together by a balcony that runs the perimeter of the house. A large outdoor deck area overlooks the pool.

But when not peering out into nature, the eye roams across tall angled ceilings, warm woods and rich details throughout. This modern home is currently on the market, listed with Bayleys.
