Top House - Modern Open Floor Plan h_Home in Golf Course House

The h_Home was designed by a Ras-one on a golf course in southwest Missouri. It has a modern open floor plan and very simple forms and materials. Houses consist of a series of “cage” like imitating the form of simple structures of nearby farmland. From the entrace to the golf course becomes more and more transparent. The main core, contains the entry, dining, kitchen, and living areas, open and filled with a large expanse of glass that bring about the landscape in it. This space is covered by a butterfly roof with clerestory windows continuous ribbon, which allows the spread of light to flood the interior. Following the natural grade the site, level back in the living room floor, further enhancing the dramatic views and a full volume of light. A large sliding glass doors spills this space out to a large pavilion like patio blur the distinction between home and out.

Passive solar design using building orientation, operated clerestory windows, ceiling fans, high efficiency, and choice of appropriate materials, to help condition the house naturally in spring and autumn months. During the more extreme seasons of summer and winter, a geothermal system to provide additional heating and cooling. Using the earth’s underground temperature, the system can condition the house without burning of fossil fuels or emitting carbon dioxide.
